Sadness and Chaos

Sadness is a lot like chaos.

We want to live in a world of our own, totally self-sufficient.

Self-content. We want the logic of order to preside over everything we perceive. Its human nature after all to paint a pretty picture around ourselves. Then we sleep in the beautiful bed we imagine ourselves to be.

But like the G-Man once said:

“Wake up and smell the ashes.”

We ignore the little things. Things in our peripheral vision. Things found in the edges. Things found just around the corner. Things we want to ignore. These things are like the butterfly that cause the maelstrom. We guard ourselves against the the storm. We fail to spot the butterfly causing it.

Causality is such a bitch.

Even an ant can cause an avalanche.
